With a jargon-free, no-shame approach, I empower creators and historically marginalized people who may feel judged by other accountants.
I'm not just a tax pro, I'm also a professional artist, and a go-to speaker on taxes in the creative world. Before I went back to school for accounting, I learned everything the hard way. I created Sunlight Tax to be the company I wish had existed for me when I was just out of art school, trying to figure out quarterly taxes, and how to set up a retirement account. I don’t teach you from a position of superiority (like your father’s accountant) but from peer to peer.
I have been in the same hard places you have. And I understand how scary it is to hand over your money to an expert that you're not sure is going to respect what you do, or give you info relevant to your creative life.
